Welcome to Nu-Matic Systems
In the early 1970’s, Elmer Martin developed a pneumatic feed conveying system to modernize his farm and simplify the feeding of his own livestock. He created a centralized feed preparation area that conveyed feed to the many feed bins located throughout the farm.
Recognizing this same demand for a more efficient method of livestock feeding for other farmers, he began to design a pneumatic feed conveying system that could be marketed to the broader agricultural community.
While still in its early stage, Elmer wanted to secure a dealer that could install and service the feeding systems once the design was finalized. Elmer’s son, Vern, who had gained experience in millwrighting and feed truck driving, determined to fill this role part-time while maintaining his full-time feed trucking job.
In 1984, father and son created Blow-Rite Systems– a pneumatic conveying system that provided an indoor, weather protected feed preparation hub. Feed was ground and mixed in one location, and distributed by air through pipes directly to self feeders within the barn, or to feed storage bins on the farm.
Vern continued feed trucking part-time while starting Nu-Matic Systems. He began building, installing, and repairing feed systems to meet the demand of hog and beef farmers. He also began building an inventory of parts in the garage of his home in St.Jacobs, Ontario to provide excellent service to the local agricultural community.
In 1989, Vern relocated Nu-Matic Systems to a small hobby farm in North Woolwich, Ontario to accommodate his growing business and allow for more substantial parts inventory. In 2005, Vern created the Spread-Rite shavings spreader as an attachment for the front of lawn tractors to spread shavings evenly throughout poultry barns. In 2019, Vern created Grind-Rite which is a stainless steel hammermill to better round his product line.
In 2021, Brian Martin purchased Nu-Matic Systems Inc, and relocated to 1261 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo, Ontario. After the purchase of Nu-Matic Systems, Brian added more models to the Spread-Rite and Grind-Rite product lines to make Nu-Matic Systems Inc. a competitive business that will meet the requirements of your poultry, hog and beef livestock farms.
